Illumination Night & Porch Lantern Festival

 During the Porch Lantern Festival, Erie Village residents bid farewell to summer and celebrate our beautiful homes and wonderful neighborhood by decorating our porches for the Saturday evening spectacle of Illumination Night, at sundown on August 16.

Erie Village residents are invited to deck out their porches and yards with paper and silk lanterns for this unique event. Illumination Night will be at sunset on Saturday, August 16th, when neighbors, visitors, and guests will stroll through the streets to view the lantern displays. There will be a display contest once again this year.

Previous year's Illumination Nights had wonderful turnouts, and this year promises to be even bigger, continuing the annual tradition - similar to events in other towns and neighborhoods around the country, such as Martha's Vineyard, Eureka Springs, Ocean Grove, Rockport, and Walnut Beach.
